It is easy enough to be righteous,when nothing tempts you to stray, when without or within no voice of sin is luring your soul away. But it's only a negative virtue until it is tried by fire, and the life that is worth the paradise earth is the one that resists desire. It is easy enough to be loyal, when your friendship is smooth and untried and a hint of rift has caused you to drift and no anger to be mollified. So your faith is not sure and not certain, your endurance is not guaranteed, 'Til test comes down like a curtain to try, to secure … to succeed. It is easy enough to be faithful, until Satan discovers your way, and all of his horde plant their discord to cause you your God to betray. So Jehovah allows him to test us, to allow us to measure our love, and the one to endure will make his faith sure to get blessings from God up above.
